August 7, 200223 yr Hi guys,I'm heading out to Heathrow later this week. Are there any aviation shops located at the airport? If so, where are they? I'd love to pick up some souvenirs.Best regards,Pesach
August 7, 200223 yr Hi PesachYes there is an aviation shop at Heathrow. It's located right next to the cafeteria in the Public Viewing Gallery, the entrance to which is at the left hand side of Terminal 2 (Queens Building).Just follow the viewing gallery signs and at the top of the stairs, head straight for the cafeteria and you'll see it.It's a very good shop - well worth the stair climb.Toni.
August 7, 200223 yr Hi Toni! Thanks so much for the info. Do you think its open early in the morning (around 6:45AM)? I've got a connecting flight at heathrow and will have 2 hours to spare. Thanks so much!Best regards,Pesach(KJFK)
August 8, 200223 yr Sounds as if you will still be "airside" and not have gone through immigration and customs, so you won't be able to get to it :(
August 8, 200223 yr Yes, the shop atop the Queen's Building is certainly well worth the climb, two hours really doesn't give you much time.If you had more time, there is a also a good shop in the Heathrow Airport Visitor Centre located North of Rwy 27R/09L.
