August 14, 200223 yr Yes, this update makes PIC compatible with Aerosoft's MCP747 and other future external devices. But you will need also a new software from Aerosoft. I guess more infos will be posted soon on the MCP747 website.Regards,Laurent Crenier_____________________________767PIC Panel co-designer
August 15, 200223 yr Commercial Member Is there any reason to install this if you don't have the MCP hardware?? Were any bugs (like the throttle going to idle one perhaps) fixed? Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

Thanks >Laurent! Hi Laurent,I hear you got yourself the same MCP... So how do you like it?Specially when flying with PIC767. I am thinking about getting it.Best Regards,Haroon - PIC767 Beta tester
August 15, 200223 yr Hi Haroon,If you are really addicted with flightsim and PIC, the MCP makes the AFDS settings a lot easier and faster. To turn a knob is really another feeling that click a mouse. That said, I think we succeeded to make the MCP 100% compatible with the PIC AFDS, and that adds even more realism to PIC ... if it is possible :-)Regards,Laurent Crenier_____________________________767PIC Panel co-designer
August 15, 200223 yr Hi Laurent will the 747MCP be able to support other PIC767 Non-AFDS functions like the overhead panel and other non-FS2002 functions through the future expansion boards, mofa
August 15, 200223 yr this is a feature we are thinking about for our next panelRegards,Laurent Crenier_____________________________767PIC Panel co-designer
August 16, 200223 yr Laurent,I was thinking that if I bought the Aerosoft MCP it would make mouse and keyboard almost obsolete... Well, sure the FMC, overhead and a few knobs here and there would still be accessed through mouse or keyboard, but with a yoke full of buttons and the MCP it really could bring something special to this SW. What is your current setup for flying ?Do you find the price (~ 500$ US) reasonable for the added realism and feel ? (well, you probably didn't pay a dime, but am just curious :))Boy am I waiting for your next panel... I have no doubts that it will equal PICs quality in every aspect. cheers,Tero PPL(A)
