Do I have to use merge or can I just copy and paste?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, well when I get PIC767 can i just copy and apste the panel and the sounds rather than use this complicating merge thingy? Wouldn't copy and pasting be easier or doesn't things like FMC work properly? Also what is default zero fuel weight of POSKY 767?Ali.

The problem with just copying or aliasing the panel and sounds is that for PIC to function properly, it needs some sections (most importantly the electrical section) from the aircraft.cfg. It also works best with the PIC .air file.To use it successfully with POSKY planes you also need a few parts of the POSKY aircraft.cfg however (flaps, contact points, and lights are the ones that come to mind). So you can either use the merge, or copy the relevant parts manually.Martin767 fetishistIt's a lot like life and that's what's appealing

where can I get the merge file for the Posky 767? Ive looked all over an I cant find it.Thanks :-wave

Don't attempt to copy and paste things, as you'll end up with a complete mess, and mostly likely have all kinds of problems. The merges are VERY simple to use, and the results are excellent. You can download the merges from If you have any troubles with the merging programs, just come back to the forum and I'm sure there will be lots of people who will be willing to help.Ryan-Flightpro08 :-coolVATSIM Pilot/ControllerZLA ARTCC Controller 1 (C-1)SAN TRACON Lead [link:members.cox.net/santracon/home|SAN TRACON Homepage] [link:www.taxiwaysigns.com]Taxiwaysigns.com.
