Paul,Hi. I would have to say that Mike Ray's book is perhaps one of the finest investments I have made for my flight sim collection. It really goes hand in hand with the simulator. It is well written, contains loads of information, well designed flow diagrams, and .. well Mike obviously has a great sense of humour.I know a few 767PIC pilots who own it as well, and I yet to hear of anyone saying it was a bad investment. My opinion of course - and no.. I do not get royalties .Ian Elchitz CYWG

I completely agree with Ian. I bought the book while in the company of Rob Hall, Pedro Sousa, and Nuno Chambel during my stay in Toronto for the VATSIM convention. It is one of my most prized possessions. The only negative experience was the intense scrutiny applied during the random search I received at the Baltimore airport on my trip back home. They did not seem to be at all impressed.

>I would have to say that Mike Ray's book is perhaps one of the finest investments I have made for my flight sim collectionI wouldn't go THAT far, however...>It really goes hand in hand with the simulator. Is the book necessary for the armchair pilot to be able to fly PIC? No. Does it enhance the overall 'experience' and supplement the already substantial PIC manual? Absolutely. I bought it - and I love it.Cheers,Paul

Paul,I studied that book several times, it's great indeed!Another book that is a worthy posession is the BIG Boeing FMC Users Guide by Bill Bulfer and ###### Gilford. It's an Advanced guide to the flight management computer (approx 300 pages!) Regards,KiekEHAM
