unrealistic stopping distance for PIC 767

Featured Replies

Hi to all pic users. I just wanted to know if there is a way to fix the air.cfg file so that I get more realistic stopping distances. i find that I can land on runways that in real life a 767 would never be able to land on because the short length but in PIC can pretty well stop on a dime so to speak- is this a PIC fault or is it a MSFS2002 problem/ also when landing in a crosswind i find the rudder very ineffective in straightening out the nose of the plane so i land pointing straight down the runway. how can i fix this issue? regards

Not sure how you use your brakes (ever using auto-brakes ? - I usually use 3 or 4 setting, never max) but I find stopping distance to be highly realistic in PIC. Landing on 7,500 ft St.Maarten runway and bringing the plane to full stop well before runway ends is a challenge even with thrust reverse.Michael J.

I encountered something similar when i just copied the PIC panel to a Posky V3 767, plus a bunch of other things. After i installed via the "merge" file, which can be found thru a search in the forum, i got a more realistic handling as far as i can relate as a nonreal life 767 pilot.

If so, that would be your problem. Do a search of the forums to see how best to configure the YAW DAMPER for your particular setup (i.e., controller, rudder pedals).
