767 PIC and windows XP

Featured Replies

I recently bought a new fast computer, and went about re-installing all my stuff for FS2000. I was saddened to see that 767 PIC was not working correctly with windows XP. I read the FAQ at Wilco's site and it advised a solution for windows 2000 users. The problems dercribed are exactly what happens to me. Menu bar not working correctly in full screen mode, and changing between windowed and full screen freezes my computer. The workaround mentioned in the FAQ works OK, but I don't like having the menu bar in view all the time, and any changes via the menu bar sometimes bring FS to a crawl until I load the aircraft again via the select flights feature. It works in FS2002 with the patch. Anyway, don't want to start a "why do you care if FS2000 works anyway" thread, just wondering if anyone knew anything on this subject. Thanks in advance for any answers...Regards, Scott

Uh, you pretty much answered your own question. There really isn't much to be said. Everything you said is correct. What exactly are you looking for? Comfort?

No, just wondering if there was anymore info out there other than what is on the Wilco site. Looks like from the kind response I received, there is not.

Strange I have PIC and XP but don't have any of those problems

It runs just fine in fs2002 and windows XP for me too. Only strange thing is that the menu title PIC is visible even when I'm not flying the PIC.

HiYou can switch that off in the preferences menu. This way The PIC menu will only show if you have selected it in the Aircraft menu.
