Need Help - Loss of thrust after pause or file save

Featured Replies

Fellow Captains,First the disclaimer. Yes, I've searched the entire forum to the best of my abilities, and I haven't found the answer to this question. If you know the answer is already posted and feel irritated by me not being able to find it, please do not reply, just ignore me. I apologize for the inconvenience. Now the question. While flying with PIC in a proper POSKY/PIC merged craft, and right after pausing, the airplane looses thrust, engines go iddle, and then quickly recover, but I loose speed. Same happens after saving a flight. Any ideas? Dave Vega

Can't help solve it but the same thing happens to me so your'e not alone. I also find it hapens sometimes whaen switching back from FSNav.CheersPaul

This problem has been reported many times before. Basically, accessing menus (or FSNav or SB) when the autothrottles are holding a speed often seems to cause the problem. I have never seen it happen in a VNAV climb (because the throttles are held high). The workaround is to turn off the autothrottle before doing menu operations and then turn it back on. If your throttle is noise free (e.g., at max and properly calibrated) the throttle will remain fixed.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
