October 14, 200223 yr As promised, here are some more pictures from "work" today. We left Portland, Oregon enroute to MSP. For almost 1200 nm, not a cloud in the sky, mostly a smooth ride, and I didn't leave any dents in the runway on landing (I think).http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235..._change_PDX.jpgWhen I got to the jet in PDX, they were changing a main landing gear tire. The mechanic gentleman told me the tire alone weighs 250 pounds! http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...65_StHelens.jpgTake-off to the west, right turn on course. Great view of Mt. St. Helens (remember the eruption?) in the foreground, and Mt. Ranier in the background.http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235..._GregMTHood.jpgFirst Officer Greg checking stuff about the mountains on (yes) a Rand McNally road atlas. Lots of us carry them...they're great for making informational P.A.s to the passengers...."and folks, on the left side you'll see ONeal, Nebraska, home of the largest pig farm in the United States...." LOLhttp://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...BiggieFries.jpgAnd you thought the yoke clip was just for holding charts and checklists. :Dhttp://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...8997_UAL777.jpgA United Airlines 777 cruising by us headed for Denver...georgeous bird. http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...635_miniBus.jpgWaiting for our gate to open up (we were :20 early), a "mini" Bus (A319) taxis by headed for departure.OK folks, it's late, and I have to leave MKE fairly early for PHX tomorrow. If I get any more tomorrow, I'll get them up after I get home tomorrow night.Later,BBall------------------------Capt. October 14, 200223 yr Nice pictures Willy. I'm flying out of "Sacramento International" (really) :-blatoday for SEA. GOing up Salmon fishing with Ross. He had another scan and the doctors are flabbergasted. Only 5% of people with his melanoma survive. Guess they never met Recon Marines before :-lolEnjoy the toy.Yoda
October 14, 200223 yr I wonder how long before the french fries make their way into an FS panel ;-) That was timeless. Great shots.
October 14, 200223 yr Thank you Bill, fantastic shots. So, Northwest serves Wendy's on borad? Or was that from in the airport? Otherwise I may have to fly Northwest more often. ;-)
October 14, 200223 yr Like others, thanks for the pictures. You have to know that several of us, if not all, are living our dream through you. Again, thank you.Dave dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library
October 14, 200223 yr "The french fries in my panel aren't crunchy enough!""My french fries are too crunchy!""I love the panel, but the color of the french fries really isn't right. Take a look at this picture of french fries from...":-)Great pictures.Martin767 fetishistIt's a lot like life and that's what's appealing
October 14, 200223 yr The FIRST thing that came to my mind when I saw that "Biggee-Fry" box on the yoke clip was the finely crafted, union made, artistic wonders we made flying the panel on the 72's to hold pencils way back when...It was like origamie (-10 spelling) which SO's took pride in creating then taping to the SO's panel. Instead of telling mom what I really did for a living I could tell her I made little pencil boxes. The joys of being red-book....Tim
