Some sounds were dropped in the FS2002 patch because the PIC team felt they were not accurate. Open up your SOUND.CFG file and look for entries that have been commented out like this:;filename=foo (just remove the semicolon)JNOTE: If this doesn't address your problem, then the problem is likely something unique to your setup. The WAV files themselves have not been changed.

Now that I think about it, I do recall Eric mentioning something about altering the waveform dynamics in the sound.cfg file a bit to give the engine more of a "growl" at high RPM's.Maybe this is what you're hearing?J

I found the sound to be slightly different but basically the same. I was never crazy about the sound to begin with and used third party sound files. Over at flightsim.com, there's a 767 sound file done by Brandon Williams and Aaron Swindle that's pretty good. I think the startup sound could use a bit more of a lengthy time duration and the flap sound could use some improvement. You'll see what I mean if you try it out. All in all though, I like it and find it's worth giving it a go.Regards,LawrieLawrie MannVatsim Callsign: TELCO1
