  1. [disregard.]
  2. thanks Michael!
  3. and then? uninstall or just on top?
  4. hello, i have been using the search function but could not find the answer to this. i mean to recall that i am supposed to uninstall the 777 completely and make a fresh install again to update to the latest version. but i am not sure. currently i have both the base package and the -300ER installed. my version is 1.10.6492 for both. the OC is telling me there is a newer version available and gives me the option to update. but as i said, i somehow remember reading here that i should not just update on top of the installed version. if someone could guide me and tell me how to get to the newest version, please? if i need to uninstall please also tell me which folders i must delete manually in addition to uninstalling the airplane. thanks! Denis
  5. works for me just fine in full screen, too (old fashioned FSX on DVD) maybe you could be more specific when you say it "does not work"? and which sim are you using?
  6. flytampa released Sydney recently and just released Corfu. they also announced that Boston will be re-done. all this in the past few months. you must have missed those? for a good F/A-18 look at the superbug at vrsimulations.com
  7. dude!
  8. nice analysis! yeah i have a carenado airplane that looks great but also has a small jerkiness on rotation, although nowhere near as bad as the default planes. as a matter of fact, i find the default planes completely unflyable. flying in the real world every day probably makes me even more sensitive to unrealistic response to control inputs. i am not expecting 100% realism, but this jerkiness takes all the fun away. the way it sounds it seems that i should really try out one of the A2A add ons. i just have to decide which platform to use for that because i don't want to pay for the same plane twice has anyone tried xplane? is it the same problem there?
  9. saitek yoke. i am not having real problems with that but it could be closer to reality when taking off with GA airplanes... airliners are normally fine.
  10. hm that's what i thought. i am using the carenado C208 for example. does using fsuipc make a big difference?
  11. hi, i am considering switching to P3D. what i am wondering is how the GA airplanes handle compared to FSX? i am asking because even with addon airplanes in FSX (small props, not airliners), i find that especially when rotating the planes react rather jerky to control inputs. so my question is if the airplane handling has improved compared to FSX or is it identical? thanks! Denis
  12. i would say no because it is still FSX. and the only other version on sale is the P3D version, and that certainly does not apply.
  13. just curious. you say it is the same airport, but there are different buildings at these airports. are they both stock airports? i thought the scenery in p3d was the same as in fsx? thanks.
  14. beautiful. the queen V2 is what i have really been waiting for all these years!! i love the 777, but the queen is the queen. happy new year!
  15. that's not an upgrade, that is a new computer. so you should reinstall everything from scratch again, starting with windows.
  16. you must reinstall the -300 also. download it again, there is an updated installer for it.
  17. i am not using trim like this, it was only an example. i am just trying to understand logic behind the 777 trim. when i set the attitude on final approach and get the trim ref speed to the current speed with a quick trim input, the pitch still changes slightly. not sure about always, but certainly a lot of times. the way i understand it if the trim ref speed is set to the current airspeed then the pitch should be maintained? that is not quite what's happening on my setup. the pitch slowly changes. that is on final approach.
  18. do i understand correctly that, if i am trimmed out straight and level, then trim back reducing the trim ref speed let's say by 5 kts, the nose will go up and the airplane will maintain the airspeed equal to the trim ref speed? i hope this is not a dumb question.
  19. are you only talking about the visual outside or does it not change to "opening" in the mcdu, either? and what about the indication when you look at the DOORS page?
  20. the free GSX version actually works on all FSDT and Flightbeam airports!

looks quite interesting. is there any way to try this on the ipad before purchase? just wondering because in the above video it is in trial mode? i know it is showing the android version, maybe there is a way to try it on the apple, as well.
  22. keep in mind the 777 does not plan for deceleration as the NG does. maybe you end up above the descent path as you reduce airspeed?
  23. Vangelis, it seems that at 2x and 4x the direction of turn is indicated correctly on the ND. at 8x, however, also when handflying her the numbers are decreasing in a right turn at first. that's all i could test because it is pretty much impossible to hand fly her at 8x. i "managed" to crash her from FL320 only attempting a few turns at 8x... the airplane was mostly unresponsive to my control inputs. not sure if that is part of the problem?
  24. i am seeing the same here. did not happen prior top SP1 and the -300. HIFI Sim actually says not to shut down ASN before FSX is closed, so i am not sure this is the solution.
  25. ps: for what it's worth, i am using FSX Deluxe Edition and installed FSX SP1 and 2 as separate updates. i do not have the FSX Acceleration Expansion pack installed.
