November 11, 200223 yr What is the correct way to execute a procedure turn with a large transport aircraft such as the 767? I'm guessing one does not fly the 45' wedge pattern depicted in IAP's but rather a teardrop shape or something similiar.I do realize that most instrument approaches with an airliner are radar vectored, but there are a few small airports here in the US served by 757 and 767-200's that do not have approach controls (other than Center). As I understand it, Centers here do not usually conduct surveillance approaches like local approach does, therefore the full IAP is flown with PT in these cases. Thank you!
