November 13, 200223 yr Thanks to JonasGrumby's post, I was able to get my VFR/LANDING View to work as a minipanel, and therefore get lights and raindrops! I'll need some time to work some things out, and a joystick with programmable buttons may be a limitation-- we'll see... Anyways, at least we know it can be done. Thanks Jonas!Sincerely,Phil Geddes
November 13, 200223 yr Yep I got it too. For any of you guys wondering just HOW to do this seeing that the original post was not specific enough as to "what panel cfg" to put the new cfg entries, it goes into the PIC panel cfg and not into the DEFAULT panel cfg. The only concern is the view height so I will have to play around to make the correct view stay when changing to the VFR view.Best Wishes,Randy Smith Randy J Smith
November 13, 200223 yr I'm gonna play around with it too... you mean you didn't have to edit your minipanel panel.cfg??Phil Geddes
November 13, 200223 yr . Hey Phil, whatever changes made seem to effect the forward default view. So using Shift+backspace etc. sticks also with the default Pic panel. I cannot find anywhere to set up the "miniview angles and zoom". It is interesting that there is no {view} listed for the minipanel anywhere. Let me know if you come up with something that works without effecting the main panel. Best Wishes, Randy Smith Randy J Smith
November 13, 200223 yr Hi Randy,The {view} entries are missing from a lot of panels...But when I simply add the section I get the result I want.Did you try adding the {View} section into the minipanel.cfg ?Geee.. this is getting even better!George DorkofikisAthens, Greece
November 13, 200223 yr Wow!To get the landing lights work in the VFR views ?Absolutely fantastic!Anxiously waiting for another update from Randy and Phil.... :(br,Tero PPL(A)
November 13, 200223 yr Is it possible for you guys to add this update to pgeddes web site ? ;)Thanks a lot !Best regards,Guillaume
November 13, 200223 yr I have tried every {view} except the kitchen sink! Yes I have tried the minipanel's cfg too. The "minipanel view" I think is the Flightsim's default forward view. So, implementing some {view} in the PIC panel does not work either as far as I can tell. The "key to this {view} im sure lies elsewhere than the panel cfgs, maybe in the FS2002 cfg? Maybe this Jonas fellow who came up with this interesting idea could help us out? I'll keep working on it, God knows I have the time! Best Wishes, Randy J. Smith Randy J Smith
