November 20, 200223 yr Greetings,I was just wondering if their was any new "dispatch" software that could use FSNAV (or other) DATA, combine that with weights, and produce a US style flightplan... like the 767dispatch program did with "Sword" style flightplans. I imagine it can't be that difficult to do. Especially considering the excellent Excel-based programs that are available! Thanks.Sincerely,Phil Geddes
November 20, 200223 yr Ahhh... I found Ben Alexander Brown's 767 Dispatch program... but it only does kgs and SWORD format flight plans... Anybody know if he is gonna update that to Jeppesen format and pounds any time soon? Thanks.Phil Geddes
November 20, 200223 yr Hi PhilI speak to Ben on a very regular basis and I'm 99% sure he won't be updating any of his work for a while to come as he's studying for his CPL :-(What FP format do UAL use do u know?Chars
November 20, 200223 yr Hallo Tom, I use Alexanders 767 Flight Dispatch. I use the Kilos version. Alex had made an update for using pounds which I`ve lost. I would be very grateful if you know where I might be able to get a new copy of the update. Thanks robin.PS.Tell Alex its a great program.
November 20, 200223 yr The new FSBuild 2.0 will do what you ask and much much more. It is currently in beta testing. I do not know, and wont guess, when the software will be released. Give me a chance to confir with Erine Alston, the developer, to see what additional details may be provided at this time. For now, visit http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/a...er1/fsbuild.htm and check out the FSBuild 2.0 Feature List under the "News" heading.
November 21, 200223 yr That looks absolutley fantastic! In addition, I just purchased trusty old panasonic dot matrix printer... Add some tractor-fed paper, and I go myself a pretty nice looking flightplan :-) Also, I just finished printing out all the PIC *.PDF's and made my first 767 PIC POH! Anybody have any suggestions of what to add to this very large binder???? Thanks!Sincerely,Phil Geddes
November 21, 200223 yr I keep mine right next to the monitor. My kids would tell you I sleep with it under my pillow but they lie. The perfect complement to the PIC POH would be a couple of the tutorials out there, like Mark McGrath's ETOPS tutorial (he might even update it with a little arm twisting.) Also, make sure you add the 1.1 update manual. And to really do it right, order Mike Ray's Boeing 757-767 Simulator and Checkride Procedures Manual and keep them both nearby at all times.I mentioned the FSBuild program up above but failed to also point out the link in the News section for FSBuild 2.0 Screenshots. Do check them out.
November 21, 200223 yr The features list for Fsbuild 2.0 can be found here.http://www.tecpilot.com/users/erniealston/fsb2_features.htmErnie.
November 21, 200223 yr In addition, I just >purchased trusty old panasonic dot matrix printer... Add >some tractor-fed paper, and I go myself a pretty nice >looking flightplan What some people go to for realism. *:-* Nice idea, how much did it cost you, probably not a lot, right?
November 21, 200223 yr :-) $5.50 off of Ebay... With a 30 day gaurantee as well. I was thinking of getting a small receipt printer to simulate ACARS messages, but I thought that might be a little overboard!''Sincerely,Phil Geddes
November 21, 200223 yr :-) Nice idea! That would be neat, now I have to go find someplace where I can get one.
November 21, 200223 yr I have an ACA A320 FPLAN from last year Edmonton-Toronto. I'll try and emulate that format, if you want it I can send it to you. Has all the NOTAMs etc, gets quite long with YYZ being quite NOTAMed. Same format that I've seen the crews get them off the printer at the gate.Cheers,
November 26, 200223 yr Hey Cous! Good to see you posting here. The Big Boeing FMC Guide huh? I just scored a 757/767 POH, we will have to get together at a family reunion one of these days and find a copy machine!
