December 29, 200223 yr This must be easy for you more experienced panel designers. I want to add two buttons in my PIC panel, one to call the GPS and another one to call the aiview module. How can I do so? I managed to add the GPS to the list of windows but I have to type SHIFT+8 every time i need the GPS.There are two unused buttons in the left corner of the panel (right under the window frame), maybe those could be used to do so... is it possible?ThanksSorry i posted the same message at the panl forum but didn't get an answer.
December 29, 200223 yr Why, On Earth, would you want to add a GPS to the PIC panel? This is blasphemous.....you should be tried by the Spanish Inquisition and hung from the nearest post.Just kidding of course....Sorry I cannot help with the button thing....but the reason why you may not have received any answers to this is because 1. The PIC panel is highly specialised and its probably difficult to do....and 2. Everyone is probably as horrified as I am that you actually want to spoil that beauty with the ugly GPS panel.Lagaz.
December 29, 200223 yr Hi LagazI'm not interested in the GPS itself but the map, sometimes I like watching the world map while I'm in flight. Of course I wouldn't navigate the 767 PIC with the stock GPS! lol

December 30, 200223 yr I second that Working Stiff. Now I can add any type of gauge pop up but truthfully I would not do the gps. Hell thats what the HSI is for in map mode! Best Wishes,Randy J. [email protected]" A little learning is a dangerous thing" Randy J Smith
December 30, 200223 yr I resisted all the various landing view panels for months so you could imagine what I think about adding the GPS gauge to the panel. :-) Mike recently sent me a copy of the latest landing view; I installed and it works beautifully. Unfortunately I've been too busy flying the PSS Dash-8 to put it to full use but thank you very much for the enhancement; the hidden click spot is really cool. Most of the people I know use FSNavigator as a moving map and as a TCAS in multiplayer mode. That makes more sense to me since I don't have to spoil the PIC panel, I simply hit F9 and I have a full screen map.
December 30, 200223 yr ....or CTRL-F9 for a smaller map on those last turns to final.Couldn't agree more, leave the PIC 767 (with the CRVM wonderful mod) and FSNAV for the best combinations.CheersIan
December 30, 200223 yr Yes,yes....FSNav and all that. But personally, I still support the "Spanish Inquisition" idea...LOL.Lagaz.
December 30, 200223 yr Man you're watching too much Monthy Python episodes! lolWell the FS I know is payware and I definitely don't wanna spend more money on it! The stock GPS isn't all that but gives me a world map and that's just what I need.No one mentioned adding a shortcup to the AI Tactical Display, the aiview.dll module. I'm beginning to believe such thing doesn't exist and that I'll be forever condenmed to hitting ALT and searching the menus for the aiview! Man that's so sad :(Cheers!
