  1. Sounds like a video driver issue. Check out alternative (maybe newer)drivers.CheersIan M
  2. Hi Tomas,What happened to your performance figures when you connected your 8800 in non SLI mode as was suggested?Ian M
  3. Does anyone know if connecting a CH Flightstick Pro (gameport version) via a gameport to USB adapter, I would get full Flightstick Pro functions in Vista/FSX?CheersIan
  4. I am keen to get a copy of this Zip file which provides instruction on getting PIC767 running under FS2004, albeit in a restricted manner.Could someone please email it to me.Thanks and CheersIan([email protected])
  5. Hi Tero,Are you referring to the Northern Hemisphere or Southern Hemisphere Spring? There are two.CheersIan
  6. Answer provided athttp://www.fsnordic.net/article/tutorial/s...4/sb_fs2004.phpCheersIan
  7. Hi Vulcan, Will check out the 25th.Do you or anyone how to get rid of the "Override" Button when SB2.3.4 starts up?CheersIan
  8. Dear Vulcan and others,I am delighted to report that I finally have other Vatsim players visible, using :PC1 SB2.3.4 Wideclient 6.10, SBRelay12 andPC2 Wideserver 6.10, FS2004.I am embarrassed to admit I needed to edit Squawkbox.ini to show:WIDEFSVER=3This was somehing I used to do with FS2002, but forgot with FS2004.Thanks for all helpCheersIan
  9. Hi Vulcan, Yes it seems that Wideclient needs to have the "focus" for the Ding-Dongs to be heard. This is a pain as one has to refocus on Wideclient after every message is typed in SB,otherwise you miss messages. I dont see why this should occur in SB 2.3.5 and not SB 2.3.4I guess I shall re investigate how you have 2.3.4 working with visible aircraft.CheersIan
  10. With advice from another forum I ran SBRelay 1.2, SBhost.exe, SB 2.3.5 Wideclient 6.10 on PC1, FS2004, Wideserver 6.10 on PC2, and Allelujah, I can now see other Vatsim aircraft and can even see them in FSNAV MP.One question, I seem to have lost the Ding-Dong and other sounds fromSquawkbox on PC1. SB2.3.5 makes the correct sounds when on the FS2004/Wideclient system, but not when on the SBrelay/SBhost/Wideclient machine. Does anyone have any suggestions on this. Thanks and RegardsIan
  11. Hi Vulcan,I installed FS2002 and have exactly the same symptoms - namely other MP Vatsim users aircraft are not showing on the screen in twin PC setup even though MP is showing them as joining on the banner across the top of screen. In FS2004 I get the same identification of other MP Vatsim users on SBrelay1.2, but no MP Vatsim users appear on screen under twin PC setup.I think it must be a CSL problem....?CheersIan
  12. Hi Dave (Vulcan),Thanks for your response. I am very pleased to hear that you can see other MP players and that they can see you. It must be a setup thing here.Mapping your PC2 to my Main, and your PC1 to my 2nd computer we have very similar setups. Shall use your terminology from here on.In answer to your questions:1. I do have the CSL folder in my FS2004/Aircraft on PC2 and CSL_ICAO.csv in Squawkbox directory on PC1. I used the beta CSL from http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/seang1/csl/I hope this isn't the problem.2. My PC's are connected by a Netgear RO318 Cable/DSL router. I have setup port openings on 23456 and 6037 directed to PC2, shall now try adding these directed to PC1.3. Yes the PC setup is all new. I shall reinstall FS2002 and see if I have joy under that. Good suggestion. Thanks and RegardsIan
  13. Hi Guys,Scenario 1On Main computer I have SBrelay1.2, FS2004 set for MP, FSUIPC 311 fully registered, SBHost.dll, and SB 2.3.5All works well with MP showing other VATSIM aircraft.Scenario 2On Main computer I have SBrelay1.2, FS2004 set for MP, FSUIPC 311 fully registered, Wideserver 6.10 set for TCP/IP addressOn 2nd computer I have Wideclient 6.10, SB 2.3.4 set for TCP/Same IP address. All works well with connection to VATSIM, etc. However I can't seem to get MP to show other VATSIM aircraft. Has anyone achieved this? If so how?CheersIan

  16. Hi Martin,Would love to join you but it is 4:00 am Saturday local time, and Winter !!Now if it started 3 or better 4 hours later I and maybe some other Aussie's could join in..... CheersIan
  17. Yes I too would be pleased to have a copy thank you.CheersIan
  18. Make sure you have Aired V 1.52 available athttp://members.dsl-only.net/~eagle/AirEd.zipTake a copy of the airfile. Open the airfile. Then open 1506. It should appear as a spreadsheet.Point to the value in the first row you wish to change, then hit Enter and the value becomes editable. When finished hit enter again, and so on to next value. It took me a number of attempts until I worked out the Enter requirement.I must say the modified airfile seems to do all Bozhan claims with no apparent downsides that I have found.CheersIan
  19. >"If you ever get down to the States and out to the Rocky >Mountains here in Colorado, you will have dinner on a bunch >of us PIC lovers." >And Wade the same applies when you get down here to Melbourne, Australia.CheersIan
  20. Well for me the two product are indespensable but mostly used for different things.1. FSNAV for me is a superb moving map which provides immediate information on where I am, where I want to go, what intersections, VOR's, NDB's and ILS's, I am coming close to. Particularly at night or in high altitude, it is a fantastic aid to instruments indetermining where I am. In short it is like having charts for wherever I am.2. FSBUILD on the other hand is used for comprehensively planning a flight and producing flight plans in many differerent formats to feed Squawkbox, PIC767 FMC, PSS FMC, Radar Contact, FSNAV, to name a few. There is overlap in the fact that FSNAV can also produce flight plans in limited formats. FSNAV also has a facility to autofly some FS aircraft along the flight plan. This is not possible for the PIC767 and PSS aircraft that I use, nor would I want to as the FMC's on these aircraft are much more sophisticated. So in summary, I think both tools are essential. FSBUILD2 will release as shareware probably end March, and is a superb flight planner. There is talk of a new version of FSNAV (V5?), but not sure when this will release.Hope this helps.CheersIan
  21. Hi Lenny,Yes I remember you well, though I didn't know you by name then. I think your were SLR24L, and ran parallel to track for spacing.I thought the whole PIC767 FlyIn was excellent with pilots of similar interests and experience of the PIC767, all flying one of two routes.Looking forward to the next event.CheersIan
  22. Hi Mike and team,Congrats on an excellent PIC767 Fly In.As the attached PIC's hopefully show, there were plenty of aircraft at Wellington, Auckland and Sydney to keep ATC very busy, not to mention we "pilots".I loved the "Ants to a Honey Pot" views from Servinfo, into SydneyAs the temperature passed 44 deg C (approx 110 deg F) in Melbourne, my computer and I started to overheat, so I didn't join you for the last leg to SFO.Thanks for all the excellent FMC FP's and related files. They were fantastic. Lets do it again.CheersIan (QF007)
  23. Hi Graham, Maybe you have too much fuel, and are therefore too heavy. Make sure you have less than say 20% fuel on landing.CheersIan
  24. Actually Randy,I think Phil's sounds have the same 30 second issue for flaps 0 to 1 and 1 to 0.I have separately asked Phil about this , but maybe it is a wider issue if another sound scheme has it.CheersIan
  25. Check your fuel. Sounds like you may be too heavy. Suggest less than 20% fuel.CheersIan
