SID/STAR Copier

Featured Replies

Hi guysI have developed a little thingie that makes it pretty easy to keep your SID/STAR's down to a minimum. If you are intrested to try it out and to give me suggestions about what to do better with it I will gladly mail it to you.I really have to give my thanks to the author of FlightPlan who gave me the idea to enhance his efforts. And of course Wilco for giving us PIC 767.

Sounds interesting. I usually just manage them in Windows Explorer but would be glad to check out your solution.

Hi Mats,Don't want to stop you developing this utility but there is something simialr already out there; you may want to check it out.plantrip.zip by Peter J Faase, released 07/03/01 (don't know if that's US or UK date format).Basically you keep all your Approaches, SID/STARs in folders 'out of the way' then run this utility.Enter your departure, destination and alternate airports, run plantrip and it copies the correct SID/STARs & approaches into flight sim, I think there is also an option to delete them all again, or it does it automatically next time you run it.Rgds

Hi Plantrip by Peter is actually what made me want to do an enhanced solution. This does what Plantrip does but in a Windows environment. But thanks for the hint anyway! :-)
