PIC sound question.

Featured Replies

Hi all,I have been using a 767 sound package that I downloaded from fsfreeware by Brandon Williams and Aaron R Swindle. I just have a quick question about the flap sounds and wondered if anyone else has had the same problem. When I extend the flaps to flap 1 the sound continues on for 30 seconds. And also when retracting the flaps from 1 to 0 the sound continues for 30 seconds. Is this correct as all the other flap settings the sound stays for approx 3 seconds. Hope this makes sense. Has anybody else had this happen to them? Many thanksBest regardsPaul

For sound I really like Phil Ghedd's P/W sound package. As to the flap sound, I don't think you can hear the flaps while in the cockpit in the real aircraft but just the clicking while setting. Try Phil's sound package its in the AVsim file library.Best Wishes,Randy J. [email protected]" A little learning is a dangerous thing"

Actually Randy,I think Phil's sounds have the same 30 second issue for flaps 0 to 1 and 1 to 0.I have separately asked Phil about this , but maybe it is a wider issue if another sound scheme has it.CheersIan

Allrighty... I emailed "Jake" for the final answer on whether you hear the hydraulic noise from the flaps from the flight-deck. I confirmed on a recent 757 flight that the flaps advance very quickly to flaps 1... and are proportionally fast to all the other settings. I'll let you all know as soon as I get word back.Regards,Phil Geddes
