High Attitude when landing using he PIC B767-300

Featured Replies

I have just started flying PIC 767 in FS2K2 which is superb, however, I have noticed on a couple of flights that I cannot get the nose down for landing, this is with full flaps and gear down? When I change aircraft to the PSS 744 for example, everything is fine and the aircraft makes a good landing. When I go back to the same flight and I use the PIC B767 the same happens again but only with the PIC B767, I have the WIn XP CH drivers for my Pilot Pro installed. Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong, thanks and best wishes, chrisEGBB

Are you sure that you have the correct VREF landing speed for the flap setting and Landing weight of the Aircraft?? If not, ground effect will cause the aircraft to float on you.Regards,

Chris, Please try a speed @ 150-155 on final then slow her down to your ref speed right before TD. Your nose will ALWAYS raise if you are to slow on approach for your weight etc.Best Wishes,Randy J. [email protected]" A little learning is a dangerous thing"

Might also want to try an autoland.

us boeing pilots fly by hand don't we?....autoland is for the scarebus :-bla.....(of which i'm a proud owner, thanks 2 my wife :-) )

Hehe, just wondering if it was his flying skills that caused the attitude problems, but that may not have been. I myself have only done 2 autolands in the B763, once because it was CAT3 weather, the other time to try it out.

Check your fuel. Sounds like you may be too heavy. Suggest less than 20% fuel.CheersIan
