So, do you want a co-pilot?

Sounds like a nice piece of software George. Looking forward to it.

I don't have the Dash-8 cause until a week ago I still had Win98 on my PC and the Dash did not like Win98.I can include it if you can send me the {flaps.0} portion of the aircraft.cfg so I can work out the flap settings. Also give me a sample V1, Vr, V2 speeds to use as default. For example the speeds on your mostly used configuration (ZFW+Fuel). Please send them to my email [email protected]'ll do my best to include the Dash in this release otherwise later on.Cause I will have to add it, send it over to you for testing and so on.George DorkofikisAthens, Greece

Done; check your mail.

Ah, correct me if I'm wrong...have never used advantures in FS2002, but I think I've read somwhere that running an ADV will kill AI.well, will it?MIK

Running an adventure has the following disadvantages in FS2002.You cannot select some of the menu items and specifically:AircraftGo ToInstand ReplayAI is Disabled. ATIS is disabled.Don't ask me why... Don't know... Ask MS why they are being so stupid! :-)George DorkofikisAthens, Greece

Great software. Thanks!!Best Regards,Bruno Francescoli.Miami, FL.

George,Just completed my first flight with PIC and VCP. I really enjoyed the addition. You did a real nice job on this.A couple of initial questions from my first flight,1) When I start the adventure, it opens both fuel cutoffs and turns the starter switches to GND. Any way around that?2) I often set flaps 1 at about 240 knots on the initial approach to help slow this bird down. I get a warning when I do that that must be tied to the flaps up setting. Is "flaps up" used for both the call on the climbout and the maximum flap speed?3) One place on the documentation says use CNTL-A to accept speed inputs and in another place the documentation says CNTL-Q. Which is correct?Don't take my questions wrong. I like this a lot. You done good!

Glad you enjoy it... I really missed myself too! (It's my voice as the PNF).Now lets see...1. There is no way around this. This seems to be an FS/PIC panel problem and don't know why it's doing this. I've put a warning in the manual about it. Don't load VCP if you have already loaded the FMC etc... It's better to first save your FPL, save your panel status, then start VCP and reload them...2. Simple... After you have set your Vref with CTRL-2, press CTRL-4 to set the flap speeds and enter 240 as flaps 1 speed and leave the rest as is by simply pressing CTRL-Q at every other speed.3. The correct is CTRL-Q. Ctrl-A was used by FS and some panels and was not always functioning... It seems I missed to change it everywhere in the documentation. Thanks for pointint it out.Fly safe!George DorkofikisAthens, Greece

Sounds like a great add-on. Can you please provide me with a link to download it? Thanks.-twilky

Just took your co-pilot adventure for a spin George. Very nicely done!Gary

George,Thks for your great work. It got a "must have" rating as per my own evalution and for an additionnal 0$ cost (!!) it is now basic in my PIC767 configuration.I read in your VPC manual that it's not possible to save the config customization for the following sessions. However, would it be possible to change once for ever the default config to get:- a manual activation of checklists, Default MANUAL instead of AUTO- a manual crew calls for take-off and landing, Default MANUAL instead of AUTO - a 250Kts/10,000ft warning ON, Default ON instead of OFF.This different default config is to me maybe even more realistic as you get controle on when you ask for the check lists or do the crew calls. Thks to you, I enjoy flying my PIC767 even more now that I tried and adopted your VCP.Bien amicalementMichelKSEA/AFR011

Sure! It's no trouble for me... Actually I do want that for my flights as well and have it that way in my PC.The reason I released it with 'Auto' is that lots of pilots out there would have sent me dozens of emails all asking why they can't hear the checklists ... Got my point? ;-)Expect a new upload of only the adventure file with more hardcore default values tonight.Glad you enjoy it.Mats, I'm really interested if you managed to interact it with FSAssistant!George DorkofikisAthens, Greece

Got you point George ! Don't try to make everybody happy: Fat chance! The way VCP is already, is totally (minus 1%!) enjoyable.Instead of bothering you, is the user able to make those changes?FYI, I tried just once to combine VCP and Radar Contact launched at the same time, with no succes. When trying to set PIC767 as the aircraft to fly with VCP with the "1" key, RC takes controle, gives the metar but VCP can't go farther.I will give it another try tonight but launching first VCP, setting it, and then launching RC.Bien amicalementMichelKSEA

Hi GeorgeI will try these two features out together any day. Right now I'm rather busy though so it will probably take a week or so!I'll keep you posted on my progress, or lack thereof :-)Cheers
