February 10, 200323 yr I have been following this closely, I thought. I am still a bit confused here; The iFDG B757 series seems to be available as folks are posting shots of it on the screenshot forum. Is there a special livery? aircraft? and or config file just for us PIC users? Should we only use the Transvaina liver? Who did the airfile edits for the ones we see on the screenshot forums? What exactly are we waiting for?Can anyone tidy this up for me in a simple paragraph??Thanks CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
February 10, 200323 yr Hey Mike, by what I understood from Iz was that he had finished the FDE and turned it over to the IFDG guys to finish up putting the 2 together etc. He said a couple of days at most and we will have the package.Best Wishes,Randy J. February 10, 200323 yr Actually the package is already available through the Avsim file library. IFDG uploaded several liveries of the 757v2 with Iz's FDE included in all of them. Just the RR model is available for now with the PW to follow shortly.Regards,Van LatendresseYeoDesigns Panel/FDE Designer
February 10, 200323 yr Yes but what we are looking for is the PIC merged with this. Get it?Best Wishes,Randy J. [email protected]" A little learning is a dangerous thing"AMD XP2100 |MUNCHKIN512 DDR RAM |ECS[/b ]K7S5A MB |[b]GF364 MEG |WIN XP PRO Randy J Smith
February 10, 200323 yr LOL...you are something else. There will be no difference as Iz will not be able to do a merge as you love to point out, but rather create an FDE that simulates the 757 as closely as possible. He also has stated that there will be inaccurate readings as the only way to correct these would be to actually hack the PIC fmc, so my friend you may as well download the ifdg 757 now as the FDE is about as good as it's going to get. The only difference may be to add the PIC electrical section to the aircraft cfg, but other then that there's not much else that can be done. I also remember him stating that his FDE would be included with the ifdg 757v2 and it is and I don't remember him saying he was making a seperate FDE for the PIC panel, but rather one FDE that would simulate the 757 and would function reasonably well with the PIC panel. Get it?Regards,Van LatendresseYeoDesigns Panel/FDE Designer
February 10, 200323 yr Well that sounds right but there are many here that have no idea on how to use it with "PIC" so maybe you can show us PIC users just how you the panel with a IFDG aircraft please? Just what exactly do you copy over etc? Thank you Van.Best Wishes,Randy J. February 10, 200323 yr I just found that there're several new IFDG 757s uploaded in the file library, the date is 9/Feb/03.......is that the newest version which we're talking about? i'm going to try them now!! ^^
February 10, 200323 yr I'm sure that's the newest one which have been worked by Iz, the FDE is version 5, and would be able to taxi with idle thrust, also the engine power setting is realistic, with max fuel load, you need longer take off roll even with 99% N1~~~!!! really enjoy flying it!but i'm looking for the correct way to merge it with PIC767 panel...any ideas? All The Best...Tommy
February 10, 200323 yr Thoes anybody know where i can find a fuel planner or fuel flow chart for a 757.Thanks
February 10, 200323 yr HiI simply aliased the IFDG panel.cfg to the Pic panel, then went into the IFDG aircraft.cfg and replaced the ENTIRE electrical section with the PIC electrical section from the PIC aircraft.cfg. (if you dont do this, the VORs will not have any OBI needles and you wont get any DME info...unless you start up with the actual PIC first, align the IRS then change to the 757...at least that's what happened with mine) I have done a short flight KORD to KCMI and I must say....EVERYTHING worked perfectly...down to the autoland. However, I think the contact points for the right main gear is slightly off.....it seems to be higher than the left.I had the default ZFW with only wing tanks full.....my approach was almost zero degrees....and touchdown was with hardly any nose up...although I was doing 145kts which was probably a little to fast for that weight.Lagaz.
