February 12, 200323 yr I recently installed CH USB pedals and I notice that on the 767 only, both the yoke and pedals steer the aircraft while on the ground. On the default planes and other purchased planes I have, only the pedals control the rudder which is how it should be. Is there some setting I need to adjust on the 767 to "disable" the yoke while taxing? I'm really new at "simming" so any help you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks
February 12, 200323 yr It sounds as if your auto-coordination is on for PIC. Double check it, both in MSFS menu as well as the Panel itself (overhead). Hope this helps out. Jay
February 12, 200323 yr Jay,Thanks. That fixed it. I just turned off the right yaw damper and now only the pedals control the steering while on the runway. I appreciate you help.
February 13, 200323 yr Be sure to get the yaw dampers back on after takeoff Tom. Here's what Iz has said on this in an unrelated topic. "Anyway, for those finding the rudder too effective, you can open the Aircraft.cfg file and locate the line that says "rudder_effectiveness=1.000" and tone the number down to whatever you wish (0.5 being half as effective as now). It was a bit of a compromise, because I fly 767PIC with both "yaw dampers" on, even though I have separate rudder controls. It's how it works in real life, so that's how I want to fly it. If you turn it off, it's probably overly effective, so you may want to tune it down. Same goes if you fly the 757 without the 767PIC panel. Hope that helps.I will go and try to replicate the 757 moving with idle thrust and the parking brake set.Cheers,Iz"Best Wishes,Randy J. February 13, 200323 yr Question for IZ,I tried to find rudder effectiveness in the PIC 767 air cfg file and couldn't. Is it under some other name? I looked into the 757 with PIC panel air cfg file and rudder effectiveness was there under the flight tuning section. How can I find it for the 767?Iz, thanks for your help.
