Guillaume,At the risk of confusing you a little more. For best performance you want as little programs running on your FS computer as possible. RS, SB, weather programs and so on should thus be as much as possible on a second computer. In my case I have a cable internet connection, a router and 2 pc's (well: 3 but 1 isn't used for flying at all) connected to the router. A small network in which each computer is able to get connceted to internet. One computer (the best) is used for FS, the other for SB, RW, FSMeteo and Servinfo). Better performance and a lot less problems. This seems to be the same setup as you want (or have, now I was getting confused here). If you need to know more, just ask.Kind regards,Stephan Haas

I have exactly the same setup ;)2 computers connected to the internet through a hub and a router :)One big for FS and a little for FS utilities.I'm going to read all the manuals on vatsim and try an online flight. Thanks for answering my questions ;)Best regards,Guillaume

Guillaume,It sounds like you are very near being ready to go with your systems. Events are posted in a variety of ways. Many major VATSIM events are promoted on the vatsim home page or they are posted on the main VATSIM events calendar which is linked from VATSIM's home page. http://vatsim.net/ then on the left pane look for "Lets Go Fly! >> VATSIM Events"Division Events are often posted on regional websites and their event calendars. Links to the regions are on the right pane of the VATSIM homepage.Virtual airlines have their own specific events. There are lots of those. After getting hooked up with VATSIM a while, ask around about a VA you may be interested in. Many never join a VA at all, that is not a requirement but there are some very good ones out there with a lot to offer. Then there is PIC on VATSIM. This is grew up after a Sunday morning in Las Vegas when several of the forum regulars somehow all showed up in the same area at the same time and we all filed out together for LAX. This forum is the primary posting place for all of those events. I often add the notice on the VATSIM event page and send out a few personal invitations to some that do not keep up with our forum (emagine that).Get youself hooked up and familiar with the VATSIM network and procedures. The next event will be the BBall Run comming in late March. Also see http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID33/2584.html
