G'day GuysAnyone got any good plans or trips for missions over the Nth Pole.Love the Aurora effects in FS2002.Any suggestions for good routes for this?Darren

Hi, Darren. From what I know in fs2002 it is impossible to overfly the North Pole.Bye,Bjorn

G'day BjornDon't have to go right over a close flyby is good enough.I remember doing a run from EHAM to PANC and the great visuals in the sim.Looked fantastic at about 70deg's Nth IIRC.Darren

You could fly out of fairbanks and follow this route, I usually see great aurora effects here during winter months. It will take you north to deadhorse Skirt the northern alaska coast then on to barrow, then return south to Fairbanks.FAI j115 SCC j507 BRW j123 OTZ j502 FAIOr after reaching - OTZ j117 GAL j133 ANC. if you would like to fly back to Anchorage.

wkzzowhoaa!!! there is an aurora effects in FS2002? gotta be fantastic!!!! usually I fly domestic flight in Thailand which is in the tropical region.Oh BTW, I also heard that you can't fly over the poles in FS2002, the system won't alow that. I've tried and my plane went uncontrolable. It's like being in twightzone :-) time just stop over FS poles

whoaa!!! there is an aurora effects in FS2002? gotta be fantastic!!!! It is indeed, but remember, it is only visible in spot view!Bjorn

I think the Aurora effect is terrible. I hate the fact that it sometimes appear under you.

Agree with F_16 Driver; seeing the Aurora below the aircraft is a bit strange. Now for a routing. Try Oslo to Los Angeles on a Great Circle track.

G'day F-16 DriverMan you must have been high to see the Aurora beneath you!!Darren
