March 3, 200323 yr FS2002, 767 PIC/POSKYHello, only few questions, please ;-)1) The indicator of the wind in the EICAS not displaies the direction of the wind but only the speed. Is it normal for B763?2) There is no indications on the various display of the "spoilers Armed" or "deployed": I must watch the pedestal to know the condition of the airbrakes! Is it normal? 3) FMC reads the flight plans from the FS2002/Pilots/ folder, but in FS2002 the default store path for flight plans is FS2002/flights/etc.. Have I to copy everytime my flight plan from this folder to FS2002/pilots/ ? Thank you and sorry for my english.MirkoITALY
March 3, 200323 yr Hello MirkoDon't know the answer to #3 as I never use that feature but as for #1 & #2 what u describe is normal in both instances.1 - u can find the actual direction the wind is blowing from on the 2nd Progess page in the FMC. Although u can estimate it from the arrow and you're magnetic hdg displayed on the ND.2 - normal, newer Boring aircraft like the 744/777 feature this but not the 767. Maybe the 76-400?Cheers
March 3, 200323 yr Hi Mirko, the answer to 3) is yes. The 'pilots' folder was the location of flightplans in FS2000. With FS2002, MS have changed it to the 'flights/etc.' folders, but unfortunately, the path was not changed in the PIC FS2002 patch. If you don't want to copy over your flightplans all the time, you could try out 'FSBuild', a freeware flight planner (although the next version will be payware), that is capable of exporting flight plans in all formats - e.g. FS, PIC, PSS etc.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
March 3, 200323 yr ATC should tell you the wind direction, if not, just hit "Shift Z". Your flight plans should go here: C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002FMCWPnavdataFlightPlans And planners like FS nav and FS build will copy them directly to this folder.Best Wishes,Randy J.
