A Bit Off Topic/Another Aircraft VFR Panel

Featured Replies

To those of you that enjoy good landing views, I have made one for the Dreamfleet Cardinal 177, that provides excelent gauge size with a great outside view and of course a hidden switchover. this does not take away the default landing panel, but adds mine to the package. If anyone is interested you can mail me at [email protected]http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/3913.jpg [h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Hi Randy,Off topic I know, but why is it -do you think - that DF who produce really excellent work, supply panels that look well "lived in". The 734 is a good example. You dress the plane up in a nice spanking new paint job and climb inside to a panel that looks like its been around since the ark and not too well looked after at that?Anyway to the point of the post, you have a real skill with panels. Your 767 Landing View is excellent, would you fancy trying to clean this one up a bit and then perhaps the 734's as well?Good Job,Cheers Mike

Well that's true. DF's exerior models do look spankin new but the panels do look "worn" a bit. Other than the the crack on the dash and the warning sign(177), what do you think needs a touchup? I don't mind a somewhat worn in look, as long as the rest of the aircraft matches. The 737 is a very simple bird to clean up. I really hate their 737 landing panel. I have one lying around somewhere that I was working on but don't really like that aircraft, so it's collecting dust. [h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. any word yet from the developers on whether you can upload the mod?

Well, if you ever do decide you'd like to finish the DF 737 landing view, I for one would be very happy. Your work on the PIC767 certainly made it an even better experience, and my DF has been gathering dust simply because it DOESN'T have a landing view like the PIC now does, that's how much I appreciate the better (and more realistic) visibility provided by the new landing views.Best regards,Mike

Mike S, Lou told me that even if he said yes, DF would not allow any form of the panel uploaded, although a modified cfg etc would be ok. The file is small though, .5 megs so it's easy to send unlike my PIC panel.Mike C, I will take another look at the DF 737 panel and see how much time it would evolve to get the VFR out. With PMDG's 737NG 4 weeks for realease, gives me some free time :).[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. well, if it includes both the modified cfg file and a new bitmap, I for one would love to get it. As you know, this would be useless if you did not own the 177, which I do.I also would like to put in my vote for the 737. I tried to do this with some luck using the freeware panelconfig program (not the new payware). Pretty hacked together, not well done at all. This package could really use it since there is no good VC for it to subsitute. However, I was able to utilize the default 37 VC to work, but it is still only a stopgap measure. Please give a bit more thought.Thank you.p.s. love the PIC mod you did

Shoot me a email at [email protected] and I will send you the 177 vfr package. The 737 vfr panel is a royal pain in the butt to do, now I can see why they choose that "mini" landing view. I am working on it but will not make in promises. [h5]Best Wishes,Randy J.
