May 14, 200323 yr I have an aircraft I use the PIC panel for that I've established a wing view that is invoked by a CTRL-SHIFT combination with a numeric key. However- several times now my clumsy fingers have obviously slipped and I've ended up with an emergency- the two breakers on the pedestal that control power to the elevator trim have tripped. I figure I'm invoking a PIC command that results in this occuring, due to my inadvertant key pushes when I mean to invoke the wing view (as these event occur at the same time). Can anyone help with the key sequence that I'm mistakingly pushing (so that I can stay away from it in the future)? Thanks,Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
May 14, 200323 yr Bruce,SHIFT CTRL NUM_7 (numeric 7) en SHIFT CTRL NUM_1 are the offending combinations.Go to the PIC menu in FS, choose SETTINGS / CUSTOM CONTROLS and you can leave these two combinations out (if you don't use the breakers of course).Kind regards,Stephan Haashttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...or=SVA1&a=a.jpg
May 15, 200323 yr Author Hi Stephan,Thanks- I appreciate the information. Those in-flight emergencies can get a bit over-bearing at times! Thanks,Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
May 15, 200323 yr Bruce,Could you please tell a bit more about the aircraft you're using to get the wing view, and how you managed to get it behind a key combo ?Sounds very interesting ...rgdsTero PPL(A)
May 16, 200323 yr Author Hi Tero,I'm using the IFDG B757-200, which has wing views (dynamic). This setting (which is used in the panel.cfg) just positions the eye so that the wing comes into view.I'm still experimenting with the settings to position the eye. Let me know if you want more info.Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
