One engine take-off

Featured Replies

Hello,Today I did a test of turning off engine 1 at VR.I could climb (not so easy) but my manual throttle control for engine 2 had some problems, sometimes it looked locked, strange.Another problem I had was the landing gear not going down for landing, so I had to use ctrl+G for manual gear pumping..,Is it normal ?Thanks,Ulisses

did you turn off autothrottle instantly?(also keep yaw dampers off for disabling auto-coordination)Cheers

"did you turn off autothrottle instantly?"Why would you do that, Lenny?Passing 80 kts, the A/T will go into THR HLD, meaning all servoes are disengaged. Also, a single engine failure will disconnect the autothrottle anyway.Regarding your gear, yes, that's a bug (at least it happened to me aswell). Somehow one engine is tied to all the (FS!!) systems...Regards,Mark

thanks for the info...so its better so cut engine 2 :)ulisses

Yes, come to think of it, the servo's are disengaged...(and to think i always consciously make the Thust Set and hold announcement..... Thanks for the correction Mark. Though i think it'd not harm your plane to turn of the A/T ;)Cheers
