Setup of hardware (a bit OT)

Hi fellow PIC-drivers, I have been fortunate enough to get a brand new machine to run PIC on. However, much to my dissapointment, I found that there is quite an amount of stuttering when running FS and PIC (didn't check if it was only with PIC - but don't imagine that that is the case). The sim runs smoothly for 10-15 secs then stops completely for a second or two... Very annoying. My question is what and how to configure in order to get it to run smoothly. My specs are:Xeon 3.0 Ghz, 1 Gb RAM, ATi Fire GL E1 with 128 Mb RAM. I have another machine (P4 2.4 Ghz, 512 Mb RAM, GF4 MX 420) on which FS and PIC runs without a hiccup. So my questions are what I should set my swap file to (fixed size or dynamic and how much space to allocate for it), how should I set the AGP aperture, any other settings that could improve the experience. Both machines are running Windows XP Pro patched to the latest level. Both are running FS at 1280x1024x32.Any ideas are greatly appreciated... :-waveB. Lev

Wow - stutters with that beast of a machine?1. I would start by making sure your vid drivers are up to date.2. Are you using POSKY exterior textures?3. If this doesn't help, maybe you can afford a used 767?DS CVA3339 / UKD149System: Attlon 900 McW Hamster/Gerbilized Quantum Accessible 55Gig Iodized-Encrusted Four-poster with Mega-brill Farzenhuuven http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg
