July 29, 200322 yr Why it's so hard for them (wilco) to just give us a slight hint of what are they thinking to do? I bet if they just say: "Please be patient, we're working on the patch for fs2004" A lot of fellow simmers and myself will sleep better at night. So far I've tried the "windowed" trick, and it works. Is ugly, can't go outside without first hiding the instruments, but I can fly it.There IS hope, i'm sure. Please don't let this marvel of flight simming go down.PATCH IT!!!:)
July 29, 200322 yr Hi All,I agree totally. Whilst other payware models are letting folks know whether or not to expect a patch, we haven't heard anything from the WILCO/PIC team at all. It would be nice to know what their thought process is. I realize FS2004 just "officially" announced today, but I would've hoped the PIC community could've heard something by now.I'm hoping we'll know something soon.BrianKPHX
July 29, 200322 yr @ Brian :Well, as far as I remember Wade once said that there will be NO patch for FS2004 and that
July 29, 200322 yr ZZZZZzzzz....sorry. I'll be buying FS2004, however, I do love PIC too so I'll be keeping FS2002 as well. How far do you think Wilco should go? I mean, two years from now when FS2006 appears, are we going to demand yet another patch. I'd much rather wait another year or two and see a totally new PIC. But, it doesn't seem likely. PIC was for 2000, and patched for the 2002 version. And the few hundred, or even a few thousand ppl who would like to see a patch isn't enough to justify it. That is just the way business is. Nonetheless, I still have some hope that wilco will publish a new 767 PIC. Only time will tell.
July 30, 200322 yr PATCH IT OR ELSE... :-bat Kidding again LOL!! WELP you guys where are you??? I wouldn
July 30, 200322 yr Wilco has nothing to do with it. They are just the marketing company.Stay with FS2002. Pic works fine. Besides, puffy clouds are nice but at FL390, who cares. :0)
July 30, 200322 yr Everyone talking about Wilco and a patch,(Start of Rant)Bill is totally correct; Wilco has NOTHING to do with what you are asking for. You can drop that word from your vocabulary. IF a patch is to be had, it will come from the developers of 767PIC. That will only happen IF they decide to invest all the personal time into trying to do it. Our begging may be helpful if, and only if, it is constructive. If you really don't know who the developers are, read the box this fantastic product came in. They are the ones we want/need to thank. Please do not use the word "Demand" because most people don't take to kindly to that word, particularly if you are asking them to do something for you. Let
July 30, 200322 yr I agree 100%...I can wait as long as it takes and even if it doesn't happen, I won't lose any sleep as I get great enjoyment already out of the current PIC package and Lee will probably release his final update for his IVSI/TCAS gauge (aural and vsi commands when an RA threat occurs) at some point, so there's something to look forward to right there. :)Regards,Van LatendresseYeoDesigns/AFG GroupPanel/FDE Designer
July 30, 200322 yr Rumour has it that a 757 version(freeware) may be in the works. Perhaps this will be PIC Version 2.Brian
July 30, 200322 yr Rumour has it that a 757 version(freeware) may be in the works. Perhaps this will be PIC Version 2. HUH? PIC 767 is NOT a 757 and would not be a freeware aircraft. We have no idea if PIC V2 will see the light of day but I THINK WELP is not telling us their whole intention here ;) I know there is some aircraft being tested and it's very secret *hush hush* but am not sure if this is WELPS project...Brian[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J.
