August 18, 200322 yr Look at this Pic.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/31542.jpgIt always puzzled me why the Runway Extended Centre Line shows 2 degrees offset to the Left when compared with the EHSI magnetic Track and the Bearing to the ILS Navaid Location. Finally I have figured it out. This issue lies within the scenery itself. The runway HDG in the scenery is set to 234 degrees. The runway Heading in the AFD file (viewable with AFCAD) is set to 232 degrees.232 degrees is the correct Magnetic heading for this runwayI have ammended the FMCWP Airport.txt file to read 234 degrees - this has no effect on this. All aircraft that are loaded show a magnetic heading of 234 degrees - this does not just affect PIC, it's just that I can display the problem better using the FMC and EHSI.Have MS made an error and got the runway heading wrong in the Scenery, but right in the AFD!
August 19, 200322 yr Not Yet Mike.I am going to try changing the runway HDG using AFCAD & see what happens.Mark
August 19, 200322 yr Commercial Member Mine does NOT display that way - wonder if it's just an AFCAD issue?DS CVA3339 / UKD149System: Attlon 900 McW Hamster/Gerbilized Quantum Accessible 55Gig Iodized-Encrusted Four-poster with Mega-brill Farzenhuuven http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums
August 20, 200322 yr The Problem Described Above has been solved.I was using the Airports.DAT & wpNAVAPT file from the Wilco Website along with AIRAC 0308 Navdata for the rest of the files. The wpNAVAPT file from the Wilco Website has the runway hdgs as the actual real world ones. I have now replaced this file with the AIRAC 0308 Navdata file and all displays okay, as this has the runway hdgs aligned to the FS headings.
