September 2, 200322 yr This program Key2Mouse really works great and removes some of the mouse click items we have to use in B767 and turns them into key assignments. Such as selecting N1 for takeoff, VNAV or switching between main view and landing view. All these mouse clicks can now be assigned a key letter, so you don't have to touch your mouse.I just removed, freed up, some of the default key assignments I never use, like carb heat, magnetos, and others. Just look though the key assignments and find the ones you never use, I sure there are a lot of them. The radio ones I never use. Now you can use these for your Key2Mouse assignments.I assigned the letter N for N1, M for VNAV , V for switching to landing view and B to switch back to the main panel. But you can use any keys you want.It really works great! Not having to use the mouse to switch between my landing view and back again is really nice!Read the 5 pages of information on it and you shouldn't have too much trouble figuring it out. If you run into difficulites just post a question and I'm sure I or someone else can answer it.http://www.wideview.it/key2mouse.htm
September 2, 200322 yr Ed,????Just type CTR+V for VNAV, or change that via PIC, Settings, Custom Controls to M...You only need key2mouse for PIC functions that have no key combination assigned.See my web-site, flightsim page, key2mouse section, for examples of real usage of key2mouse.Regards,Nicowww.nicokaan.nl
September 2, 200322 yr Nico Thanks for the information.I like your website and the FMC you built. Did you ever complete it? Post a picture of it if you did, I'd like to see the completed unit. How did you figure out where all those wires went to? Wow!ED
September 3, 200322 yr Hi Ed,My web site reflects the latest situation. I guess I can never say that it has been completed.... Currently I am thinking of extending it with four push-buttons for EHSI information (Airport, Waypoint, etc), TCAS Knitters for range and mode, and a GO Flight 8 push button module so I can temporarily define one of the GF166's as Transponder to set my squawking code...Dome of these expansions are posssible since Aerosoft supports in their MCP software (version 1.8) the definitions of PIC key combinations for the buttons in their game port connectors (4*4=16 in total).Where the wires go to is actually not much of a problem, it does not matter which terminal of the KE72 gets connected to a switch. Everything can be defined (afterwards) in software. That's the advantage of the KE72 over cheaper solutions with keyboard encoder chips (stripped keyboards so to speak).Regards,Nicowww.nicokaan.nl
