September 12, 200322 yr Thanks Kevin for the real story on the Maspeth Tanks. That was the first thing I noticed when flying the approach in FS9 for the first time. I guess now they will have to rename the Maspeth Climb on the LGA departure plate. Maybe they will call it the "Red Light on the Beams Climb". :-lol

September 15, 200322 yr I have some great -->old<-- pictures from an Eastern 727 flight I took once. I will try to find them and scan them in. The visual overflies the 1934 world fairgrouns, and you can read the map points perfectly. Incedentally, when airlines approach LGA from the South east or West, they will always fly the visual route when LGA is landing on 31, or 22. The approach to 22 takes you on a sweeping turn out over the sound, and back over city island in the Bronx, before planting you on the small patch of land known as KLGA. SteveNY ARTCC
