September 14, 200322 yr B767er'sDid you know you can raise your seat height by pressing the Shirt+Enter key? Each time you press the keys your seat height goes up.Pressing the Spacebar returns your seat height to the normal position. Now I can see the runway over the glareshield during the approach and landing phase of the flight. ED
September 14, 200322 yr Actually, it doesn't change the seat height but the viewing angle (but almost the same effect). Shift-Backspace goes the other way.
September 15, 200322 yr Hi Ed,I tend to use the Shift +/- to zoom out the forward view to .81 ...I find this gives a better general perspective and can see the runway nicely on approach/flare. I will use the VFR view from time to time but do not find it an absolute necessity with a zoomed out forward view.Moving the view angle around I find very useful for GA stuff, the Marchetti SF for example (which has the only virtual cockpit I have ever liked.Hope to see you up there tonight.Rob.
September 15, 200322 yr .81 is nice but I have gotten accustomed to .72 and like it much better. Rob, Daryl told me there is a hidden click spot on the bottom left of the AI. Have you seen it? In the new proximity of V2, could that be patched up or not. That is the question. But I don't know if is OK with Ponderosa.
September 15, 200322 yr Mike,is that the click spot that sets all the airspeed bugs and the MCP to V2 when on the ground?
September 15, 200322 yr Commercial Member It's true Rob - there IS a hidden click spot just to the left of the Airspeed Indicator.Also:1. If you click on the C IRS during the ALIGN, a photo of Wade Chafe drops from the eyeshade.2. If you click on the L EEC during startup, Eric Ernst magically appears.3. If you click on the FMC LEGS page while holding down the G key, the plane turns into an Airbus.DS CVA3339 / UKD149System: Hamster/Gerbilized Quantum Accessible 55Gig Iodized-Encrusted Four-poster with Mega-brill Farzenhuuven http://members.shaw.ca/shuttleworth/3339_sig.JPG The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums
September 15, 200322 yr LMAO...yes it is...sets the bugs for takeoff/rotation speeds AND landing/Vref when clicked in the descent. An engine out speed bug can also be set in cruise depending on your procedures.Rob.
September 15, 200322 yr That would be it Mark. Daryl said that Rob would find it helpful so I thought I would pass it along. ;-)
September 15, 200322 yr Commercial Member Yes, please.
