This is a bit off topic, but it does involve the pic767.(Clipped from CVA website)---------------------------------------CharityFlight 2003 Takes Off November 6, 2003 On November 5th I'm aboard HQ582 from Vancouver to Toronto to join the CharityFlight team to help raise funds for Toronto Hospital for Sick Children (and BC Children's). Once in Toronto, I'm off to the Carlingview Airport Inn, and 48 hours of NON-STOP virtual flying (and some other fun as well). We will be navigating around the world in the pic767, touching down at over 25 different locations. Last year I joined the group from my home computer in Vancouver. We stopped in 26 cities: Halifax, St. John's, Manchester, Amsterdam, Stuttgart, Venice, Athens, Cairo, Riyadh, Dubai, Islamabad, New Delhi, Columbo, Katmandu, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, Osaka, Tokyo, Anchorage, Vancouver, Calgary, Minneapolis, Chicago and Toronto. During last year's event I flew NON-STOP (with some short naps in between) for 33.1 hours. CharityFlight raised $1800.00. This year we're off more exotic locations, and even MORE SLEEPLESSNESS. We depart from Vancouver at 1 minute after midnight on the 6th. You can view the 2003 route here: http://www.charityflight.com/route.html How can you help? 1. Buy a virtual airline ticket by donating to either of the Foundations. 2. During the event (November 6 to 9) you can monitor our progress via the webpages, ServInfo or jump in a plane and join us on a leg or two. 3. Hug your children! To visit CharityFlight & donate to Toronto Children's just click here: http://www.charityflight.com If you would like to donate directly to BC Children's just click here: http://www.bcchf.ca/donation.shtml Please support this event with donations. If you live in the Toronto area and would like to visit the team during the event, cruise on over to CharityFlight for details. You might like to meet me? Well, you're in luck: for 5 bucks you can shake my hand. For ten bucks you can have an autographed photo. For twenty bucks I'll talk about myself... So, come on PIC-er's: put your money where your mouths are/is. Daryl Shuttleworth ----- CharityFlight 2003 November 6-9 http://www.charityflight.com---------------------------There you have it. Daryl is drumming up donations and so am I. Let's show the kids we care and make a huge difference this year. Hope to see a tonne of you along the route this year. The Open House is Saturday, the 8th of November at:Carlingview Airport Inn (Flight Crew Lounge)221 Carlingview DriveToronto, Ontario M9W 5E8 ThanksBVC

That was a peach of a letter by Daryl. Help out the kids gang. Charity Flight was the most rewarding experiance of 2002 for me. Three days of around the clock flying around the world for a great cause left an unforgetable memory. This year will even be better. Join us when you can, say hello when you see us on-line, and step up to the cause by visiting the charities for this year's event.Mike Bevington

Thanks Mike for the words, but if we only get one donation this whole event is for naught. We all get a huge amount of satisfaction out of our hobby. We meet people form different places, races and toungues. All we, at Charityflight, are asking is that you give from your heart to help defer the cost of airline tickets and medical expenses, to fly sick children into Toronto, so that those children may get medical help from one of the best Childrens Hospitals in the world. The cost of fuel and airline fares we all know is great. To a child in a remote area of South America or Asis, it is a lifetime of wages. We NEED YOUR HELP, so that that child may grow up to become an adult. We, for the most part, are there, they just want the chance to live or live healthy and free of their sickness. We can make a difference. Will you donate? Please. Let us all show our support and give in this season of Thanksgiving. Visit: www.charityflight.com The donation button is on the main page under the "Teddy"Thanks

Thanks Bill. Please donate PIC-er's. And, if we raise over 5000 dollars, I will personally take the time (when I arrive in Toronto for the event) to teach Bill how to spell "tongue" and "asia".DS CVA3339 / UKD149System: Hamster/Gerbilized Quantum Accessible 55Gig Iodized-Encrusted Four-poster with Mega-brill Farzenhuuven http://members.shaw.ca/shuttleworth/3339_sig.JPG
