PIC/FS9 - stutters with multi-monitor/win mode

Featured Replies

Hi,I just copied my 767PIC from FS2002 to FS9. In general it works inwin mode perfekt just like in FS2002 but when undocking panels in window mode on my 3 additional monitors, I get regular video and sound stutters (like a machine gun) for 1 sec. every few (5-15) seconds. Does anybody have the same problem or a solution for this ?I tried every video, sound and system settings, but nothing helps. What I discoverd is, that putting a window on the second monitor ofmy AGP GF 2 MX400 doesn't produce so much stutters. Putting the Window on a monitor of my 2 additional TNT2-PCI-cards produces the stutters again. When putting the panels in window mode on the 3 monitors and then switching to full screen mode, the stutters are gone but I get only 17 fps instead of 25 in win mode and I can't stretch the modified main instrument panel over 2 monitors. This problem not only occurs with PIC but with every aircraft. In FS2002 the same system works with all 4 monitors with no problems. So it seems to bee a problem of FS 2004 with the PCI video cards and maybe it depends on your hardware configuration. Here my specs:P4, 1,5 GHZ, socket 423768 MB RDRAM ASUS P4T mainboardGainward GF 2 MX400 VIVO GS2 x NVIDIA TNT 2 32 MB PCISB Live player 5.140 MB IBM HDBecause I would like to fly my 767 PIC with panels on all monitors in FS 2004 in window mode I'm seachring for a solution.CheersTony

PIC is not currently supported in FS9.New version 767v2 is in development - FS9 will provide the scenery engine for this new sim.FS9 changed the ways multi monitors work. Try the MS General discussion Forum, lots of advice there on this subject.

Tony,It seems that this problem has nothing to do with PIC.It happens here (and by others who I spoke) with ALL planes in FS9 !.More a general bug.Hessel Oosten

Hello, the B767 PIC works very well with the FS9, even if everybody tells, that it is not supported. If you put the panels or panel parts on other monitors than the view monitor, there are no problems at all.The stuttering has defenitely nothing to do with the PIC in combination with FS9.Happy B767PIC flyingArry
