Not ever having run PIC in FS2000, I was wondering if the adventures were good for basic training? If so then I will find a copy of FS2000 and run them.ThanksSinbad

Sinbad,Never used them. They were only saved situations of the different stages in flight preparation, no real adventures. it was a sales gimmick added by Wilco, not something the WELP team had worked on (as far as I know).I think it's not worth the trouble findeing and installing FS2000.Kind regards,Stephan Haaswww.lemont.nl/b767flightdeckhttp://www.pic767flyingclub.com/images/sas544.jpg

hey sinbad, i must agree with Stephan, just read the manual(basic part, panel informations, speeds etc etc etc),take her up for a familiarisation flight covering aircraft preparation, startup, taxi, takeoff, low speed flight, steep turns, normal turns, climbs, descents, keeping her level and steady, getting the feel of the thrust, and finally landingthen, read the manual again (more extended info about the FMC, MCP and the AFDS)Get up again, do a pattern or 3 to get your landings 'about' right, take to the skies, level her at 5000ft 250 IAS on any desired heading, but leveled. Then start experimenting with the autoflight systems and FMC.Final thing you could do is make an entire flight, from cold and dark cockpit, to takeoff flying the bird manual up to FL180, then go for autoflight, try an offset routeing and finally make the weather at your planned destination just awefull, and that of your alternate good. make an instrument approach to your destination(autoflight if you want, if weather is awefull this is really recommended, though watch out with the winds as the autoflight too has it's limits), make a missed approach slightly before minimums, depart to your alternate, zoom up to an altitude, enter a holding as simulation of 'waiting for weather to clear', then proceed with a visual approach to the good weathered alternate, park the airplane and completely shut her down.Once you get that done, go online a fly in a controlled environment... you'll love itCheers

Stephan,Nice Flight deck you got coming along there.I will get Bill Van Caulart to get in touch - he's starting out on a 767 flight deck for the Charityflight event.

Thanks for the info and opinions. I will not bother with FS2000.Sinbad

Ahhh, jeez! I did the voice of the copilot on those! Yeah, I know - no one ever used them. ;)
