I Been Busy

Featured Replies

Hello to all my old friends. Some of you may have noticed I have not been around much for the last six months. We have been very busy setting up a basic set of courses for on-line flying with VATSIM. With help from a few of the PIC regulars http://www.mbev.net/VPTPublic/P1Team.htm the new site came on line the weekend before Christmas and is just what the doctor ordered for any of you who are still holding out joining us on the network. If you have not joined VATSIM, now is the time. You will need a VATSIM user ID and current email address before signing up for a Pilot Resource Center (PRC) account http://www.vatsim.net/prc. The site contains just about every piece of information required to get up to speed quickly so you can join us next time around on a PIC on VATSIM flight. We can always use some veterans to help answer questions on the VATSIM support forum here on AVSIM. http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...forum=141&page= If any of you can join Ian Elchitz, Vulcan, even Bruce (remember him, he is the one who took the bait last summer and joined the network) your constructive input would be most appreciated. For those VATSIM members who are already active, we have the 4th annual Rocky Mountain Rumble coming up this weekend, January 11th, 1900-0000Z. I plan to fly to Denver from St. Louis and then on to one of my favorite stops in Albuquerque. Join in if you can.

And while you been away, Haroon and Dennis have developed a nice new toy for us all to play with.www.simavionics.com

Yes, I have been watching that. Very cool but my next 400 bucks is going toward a newer PDA.Don't forget the Rumble on Sunday. I have signed up for 2 flights and may make it a 3rd. http://www.denartcc.org/Rumble/rumble.htm

Mike,Might be a bit late for me - by the time I get in from work, it will be around 2300Z.

Hi Mike,Do you think that any tutorial videos showing users how to properly communicate while on approach, or any other critical phase of flight could be of some value for the tutorials you are working on? We have a full featured streaming platform at simradar.com that I'm willing to offer for any training videos you may want to show. Just let me know if there's any interest and I can give you instructions on how to upload material. I have plans to do that for PIC v2 as well, so there will be some interesting free training material in the future.you can contact me at [email protected]

I've been away so long I didn't even realise PIC v 2.0 was coming out! (Kidding about not knowing been away though).
