January 12, 200422 yr Hi, all! I have a problem when typing in the ICAO id for Singapore (WSSS) both in the dep/arr fields. When I do this, I get the N/A (not available) message in the fields regarding the airport details.. I've noticed that the same happens with all the airports around that area (thta is, all airports whose Icao codes start with W). I've checked the 'airport data' sheet and everything looks ok when reading the line corrisponding to these airports, I mean that all the info is there.. Anyone who is experiencing the same problem or anyone who could help me?Thanks,Emanuele
January 12, 200422 yr Just tried it and get the same error. I also get an error when trying to update the airport database. With luck Ilan will reply when he is less busy.
January 13, 200422 yr The issue of the database not-updating correctly is addressed in the update that I have created for the 767 Dispatcher. It's not available online yet, because I'm still working with the original author with copy-right stuff, but it should be up within a week or so...Unfourtanetly, I just tried WSSS in my new version, and it is able to pull up the runways, and it understands that it is Singapore, but there still seem to be some problems. I'll look into it, and report back if I can fix the bug...
January 16, 200422 yr An update- I have found the bug that creates this problem, and have fixed it. Unfourtanetly, it isn't included in the file I sent Ilan... so it may take another release before I can get ride of this bug... (sorry). On the "new features" front, I've added a button to update the NAVAIDs, and this seems to work fine. I've also added a button to update the FIXes, and it also seems to work, but I still need to work out one small bug with duplicate fixes. After that I'm going to add one button that updates all 4 databases, in addition to a button that allows you to do each one manually. When that is completed, I'll send the new version to Ilan for uploading. One important thing to note: For some reason, the new AIRAC cycle has a lot more data than the old one... Therefore, when all these new cycles are added, the total file size of the package comes out to 70-80 mb (about 15 mb zipped). Therefore, I may decide to take all the navdata out in the program that you download, and make you import all the navdata yourself. This would fix the high file size problem...Upcoming "projects":*Adapting this program for the 757-200*Looking into adding an airway route databaseWell, that's all for now!
