Strange Problem

Featured Replies

I have recently started experiencing some strange behaviour with PIC at the end of the landing roll. As I decelerate to taxi speed and cancel reverse thrust, I find that to taxi off the runway I am having to increase thrust to around 75% N1 or greater. Even then the aircraft is sluggish to taxi.I have the PushBack Gauge installed, along with the taxi thrust Modification. No other tweaks that would affect.I am using FS2002, CH Yoke and CH pedals.Any help greatly appreciated.

I had this exact problem, Mark. And I fixed it.It happened when I did some flights in New Zealand.Seems some sheep were wedged into the landing gear. The wool was accumulating at a staggering rate, increasing friction, slowing my taxi rates, and increasing the rpms to keep the beast (PIC767) moving.I used Woolite to get the wool off the gear. I have a permanent fix: install sheep guards for flights to NZ, and Scotland. Now, I know you live in Scotland... have you checked your gears for sheep accumulation (aka wool)?Daryl ShuttleworthDS 3339http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg

LOL.

Problem might be solved - more testing required to be sure.I think the taxi thrust modded air file was causing me the problems.Reverting back to the original seems to have cured this.

I don't have the modification and it happemed to me. If the autobrakes are on "disarm", change them to offand it may let you go. pwapilot

Mark,Is it the Rob Barendrecht pushback gauge? I have this installed as well and it seems the brakes are slight on after autobrakes landing, even after switching them off or disarmed. Just give the brakes a short jab and they'll come loose (shakes the sheep out?)Kind regards,Stephan Haaswww.lemont.nl/b767flightdeckhttp://www.pic767flyingclub.com/images/sas544.jpg
