March 17, 200422 yr HelloI am wondering what the G/A button at the bottom of the lower EICAS does. Does it possibly initiate a Go-Around?Just 1 more question...In FSUCIP, there is an option for thrust reversers in the joystick section. I asigned it to the right-most throttle control on my CH yoke. Idle is full foward, so I can pull back on it to reverse the engines on landing. I tried it with my PIC and it does nothing. What am I doing wrong or maybe that just doesn't work with PIC?Thanks in advance, pwapilot
March 17, 200422 yr about the first thing, pressing this button onshort final puts you back in TOGA mode so yes it initiates the go aroundcheers
March 18, 200422 yr So what would it do if I hit it on approach? (There is no information in my PIC manuals)Regards, pwapilot
March 18, 200422 yr I once explained the operation of G/A mode in PIC vs real aircraft (there are some differences), so do a search on the forum. I don't have the energy to explain it again :)Tero PPL(A)
March 18, 200422 yr Commercial Member G/A mode is available anytime the flaps are out of up and/or when you are established on the glideslope in app mode. Pressing G/A will result in TO/GA as your active pitch and roll mode, N1 as your A/T mode. If not already selected, G/A will be your active thrust rating.I believe that's about it.Regards,Mark Mark Foti Author of aviaworx - https://www.aviaworx.com
