changing virtual cockpit view

Featured Replies

When I change vc view from 100% to say, 50% so that I can see the whole cockpit in one glance, the external scenery is also changed in terms of perspective by 50%. is there a way to change the actual vc view while leaving the external scenery view at its original distance...(100%)? Thanks for any input...Sherman KaplanHighland Park IL

In each "aircraft.cfg", find this setting:{Views}eyepoint= -4.30, -0.85, 2.1 //(feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical distance from reference datum (Original settings -3.95, -0.85, 2.1)Another setting can be found in the "panel.cfg" that will make the vcockpit very sharp and readable, change the pixel_size to what you see below (do this for each VCockpit entry):{VCockpit01]}size_mm=512,512pixel_size=1024,1024texture=$C172s_1background_color=0,0,0visible=0This above example is for the 172. Beware if you set it too far back, you will have some wierd side effects (ie your view point will be broken up because of the seat).Really nice if you run in 1280x1024 32 bit and above.Experiment. Can take some time to get it right. Enjoy. :-wave Joseph
