November 11, 200421 yr Hi all. I have been producing worldwide SIDs/STARs/IAPs (terminal procedures) for the PMDG 737NG, most of the PSS aircraft and the Aviograsf A340. I am adding the 767 even though it is an old sim as I believe there are still a lot of 767 PIC drivers out there. So, is anyone interested in getting current DAFIF derived terminal procedures for the Wilco 767 PIC version 1? In a day or three I intend to release cycle 0411 beta so keep your eyes open here for the announcement. Very large DL though as it looks like the 30,000 or so, files are going over 10 megs.RegardsTerry
November 11, 200421 yr Commercial Member Hi Terry!Sounds like a terrific idea!Just a thought - why don't you contact Wade and ask him what the new syntax will be lole (level D 767). Maybe you could then create the files for the new 767 sim?I'm sure the level D developers will help you out with syntax and I'm sure everyone here would appreciate it a LOT!Regards,Mark Mark Foti Author of aviaworx - https://www.aviaworx.com
November 11, 200421 yr Terry,I think it would be great if you could reproduce your great procedures for the new LDS763.I don't own PIC1, but will certainly buy this when the new one is released. So I agree with Mark that it would be better to check with the developers ( Wade ) and confirm the format will work for the new version. Thanks for all your work on PMDG and PSS procs.Cheers,Paul ( SPIM )
November 11, 200421 yr Hi there Mark. I am not opposed to doing so but I do not have an address for the appropriate person at level D. You have one?RegardsTerry
November 11, 200421 yr Hi Paul. I will attempt to contact level D and you are welcome for the PMDG and PSS procedures.RegardsTerry
November 11, 200421 yr Commercial Member Yes I do but I don't know if Wade would appreciate it if I posted it.But I'm sure he'll contact you or send you an email if you post your address here.May I ask from where you derive the procedures? Is it DAFIF or something else? Also, how close to the ARINC format are they? Thanks,Mark Mark Foti Author of aviaworx - https://www.aviaworx.com
November 11, 200421 yr I believe Terry derives his procedures from the DAFIF database.I have seen some instances where the DAFIF data is incomplete, especially for a lot of the European airports. A complete ARINC database - now that would be something. I can just imagine Wade's reaction if his email address was published and he was to get flooded with emails asking:"when will LDS be released""why's there not going to be XYZ""is ABC going to be added" etc.
November 11, 200421 yr Hi Mark. Either you or Wade can contact me at [email protected] use DAFIF data. Not having access to AIRAC procedures I do not know how close they are in format to the DAFIF or visa versa. And obviously the procedures I provided are in the format required by the particular aircraft they are made for.RegardsTerry
