December 24, 200421 yr Hi there! Can't wait to taste the new PIC, but before, I would like someone to clarify the following doubts, please:1. I have heard of something called Network Gauges, where there is a feature that allows to pilots to connect to each other's PC and fly the same panel and the same aircraft. Is this true? How will it work? Via IP connection?2. Imagine I want to fly online with squawkbox in VATSIM, with a friend of mine, using the network gauges: he connects the squawbox to the multiplayer session and to a VATSIM server; he now can receive the weather and can see the traffic. This is exactly the issue: for me to have the weather and see the traffic too, I had to connect to VATSIM either, but it is impossible for two people to be connected to VATSIM and fly the SAME flight/aircraft/callsign. So, it means only one can be connected, but that also means that only one can have the weather and can see the traffic, that is, the other one can fly with the same environment. How is this going to work? Is it possible that just one of the pilots is connected to the network and the weather and trarffic are transfered to the other pilot's FS so he can fly the same environment? Even so, if one of them is not connected, how is he going to receive text messages if Squawkbox is not up?
December 24, 200421 yr Commercial Member This will not be a part of the initial release. We do plan to do this in the future but it is not going to be available for a while after the panel is first released.Regards,Wade
December 24, 200421 yr Wade,I dont mean to sound rude...but what new features is the LDS providing besides a nice VC and FS2004 compatibility. The few extra FMC functions wont justify another purchase for me,The concept of networked gauges was the thing that grabbed my interest in the first place.John http://homepage.eircom.net/~eamonnmca/images/logo_ba.JPGwww.bavirtual.co.uk Senior Captain Simflight.com Staff Reviewer
December 24, 200421 yr Hi John, There are so much new features that I couldn't post that here. But the website (www.leveldsim.com) will be updated regularly to show you that. Now, if you look at the screenshots attentively, you will already discover a bunch of.
December 24, 200421 yr Hey,updates or no updates, i'd still pay to have the 767 2k4 compatible.BTW, if u haven't seen the HOST of new features from the screenshots, u probably don't know PIC 767 well enough.
