The FMC does control Bank angle in LNAV. At the altitudes the captain was talking about the FMC will limit bank angle to avoid high speed buffet. I haven't been able to find any discussion of this in any manuals however, and I don't have any diea of what the actual limits would be for a given scenario. Is 5 degrees common? 10? If anyone does have any more detail on this (not speculation) I'd love to hear it.Wade
