August 16, 200223 yr Pepper has a real winner with his new G18 release (see AVSIM download). My only problem has been with the overly sensitive braking on landing. Needs a little tuneup.Good job, Greg!
August 16, 200223 yr You may want to try a little back pressure on the yoke during braking to help keep the nose from getting too low.
August 16, 200223 yr I would add to that, the propeller discs are not very circular, even at max power. Other than that, it is a superb model, joining his great CV580 in my hanger!
August 16, 200223 yr ...a superb model indeed. It also has one of the best VC's I've experienced: it creates one of the most realistic feelings of 'presence' in a cockpit and the readability of the gauges in this mode is exceptional; no eyestrain here. My thanks to the creator of this model.Want some ear candy? Try Aaron Swindle's sound pack tbchsnz.zip (3753kb).-GeorgeM at 5B6
August 16, 200223 yr On my rig this beautiful plane is semi-transparent! You can see right through it! don;t know if it is a texture problem or just my rig. I have not seen this problem with other planes however.AMD 1.3 512Mb GeForce2 Pro 64ddr SBLive Bob S Reno, NV
August 16, 200223 yr Is it possible to find the recomended sounds somewhere else than Flightsim.com? This is a known song, but i can't get in their site since weeks.
August 16, 200223 yr I agree. I really like this beautiful aircraft, but if I could wish one improvement, I'd ask for rounder propellers.Yours
August 16, 200223 yr Try the excellent turbo-prop sound set by: FS2002 / FS2000 PRO deHavilland DHC6 Twin OtterSound package by Aaron R. Swindle. (SkySong Soundworks)Orginially made for the DHC-6 and goes with the excellent panel but the sound set sounds very good for a small to medium twin turbo propsFile names are prosnd-1.zip and prosnd-2.zip. I beleive they are available here at AVSIM.
August 16, 200223 yr My mistake regarding above message. This sound set is great for the awesome Convair CV-580. Fir the Beech 18 I use the Douglas DC-3 DDA PH-DDZ sounds
