Help!! Why can't receive data from Internet if joystick

Recommended Posts

Guest

Hi,I want to connect to the Internet in order to use online ATC.BUT: when FS2002 is on and joystick is enabled, my 56k modem is not able to download a single bit from Internet. As soon as I disable the joystick (key K), data can be received again. Is it possible that, in order to fly online, I must not use the joystick?Any ideas?I also tried to disable interrupts on the joystick panel in Windows, but nothing changes.I have:Thrustmaster Attack Throttle with a yoke and Thrustmaster pedals;Pentium IV 2 GHZ with 512 Mb Ram;GeForce II 64 Mb;Windows ME.Thank you very much,Luca

Go to the joystick calibration screen and look for a check box that says "Poll with interupts enabled". Uncheck that box and give it a try.Mike

My apologies. Now that I've reread your original message I see that you had already tried that. I don't have any experience with Windows ME but my gut instinct is that you have an interrupt conflict between your modem and another device. Either that, or it is using an IRQ that is shared with another device.Mike
