Saitek W10 Beta Drivers
I have been running the X55 drivers since they came out in September. They seem to work well. I haven't had any issues. I can't speak to the drivers for the other products. Mike

- FSX Carrier Ops Review
Are you trying to run it outside of FSX? Simple answer is, "Don't". I tried that and got the same error message box. Start up a flight in FSX and in your Add-ons menu you will have a new entry called AI Ships. That is what runs carrier.exe and allows you to configure what ships you use and where they are located.Mike- Tileproxy Error
Hi, Christian,It was in the southern New Hampshire, USA area. Around the cities of Nashua and Manchester. I run FSX full screen so I can't be more specific than that. I notice the message after I end the flight. If it would be helpful I can run FSX in windowed mode and see if I can narrow down the specifics of where the error pops up.Mike- Tileproxy Error
I don't seem to be having any success tracking this down. Anyone have any ideas?Thanks,Mike- Tileproxy Error
For some reason I have started experiencing the following error message:TileAPI: WARNING! Output size of write_extended_bmp looks fishy! (16777290)What I think is happening is that I have my Max_Level set too high for the area I am flying in because the message appears after a series of HTTP 400 errors. I'm thinking about dropping the Max_Level setting down a notch and see what happens. If it makes a difference, I am using Service 3.Am I on the right track or am I barking up the wrong tree?Thanks,Mike- Finding Proper map_version values.
Arista,Perfect! I found it in Firefox. It's under Tools -> Page Info -> Media.Barry,Updating the version numbers in the proxyuser.ini might get you better tiles for the area you are flying over. From every TP release I have seen so far Christian has the current version numbers current at the time of release. Since there has been some talk about there being a significant amount of time before the next release I wanted to figure this out myself so that I could keep the map versions current. To be honest, I haven't seen much difference in the tiles between different versions so everyone will have to make there own decision as to whether or not doing periodic version checks is worth the effort over just waiting for the next TP release. Mike- Finding Proper map_version values.
I thought I saw in an earlier thread how to determine the map version for the different services. I don't seem to be having any luck finding it tonight.Could someone explain how to retrieve the current map versions in use by a particular map service?Thanks,Mike- FSX on LCD TFT monitor...
In the Display section of your fsx.cfg file there is an entry called WideViewAspect. Try setting it to True and see if that makes a difference.Mike- TileProxy 2??
It's in the scenery.cfg in C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataMicrosoftFSXMike- TileProxy Tiles
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I started with GE and liked what I saw. I deleted the cache, ran the cleanup.bat file and then reconfigured for VE. For what it's worth, I liked GE better and switched back. It wasn't that VE was bad, it was that GE just seemed sharper. I suppose a lot of it has to do with where you fly. I did my comparison in southern New Hampshire.Mike- Tile Proxy thread #2?
Christian, you're a genious! This is what VFR flying is all about. One question for the group. I am using GE (tried VE but the textures didn't seem to look as good). After the URLs are retrieved I get the following in my ProxyUser console numerous times:tileproxy.sys: FileAllInformation?tileproxy.sys: PostQueryInformation() was unsuccessful asking for:tileproxy.sys: FileAllInformationThe textures appear to be loaded normally so I'm not sure if the above is good, bad, or just normal processing. Thanks again. This is the best addon for FS I have ever seen and I've flown every version since the SubLogic days.Mike- push or pull
>In the real plane, you pull the knob. (So if you control the>throttle from the panel in the game you will have to pull the>knob).>>But if you have a throttle on your computer joystick, the>setting is probably that you have to push the throttle lever.>>Actually, in the real plane you push the knob to add power. The throttle arrangement in every aircraft I can think of is the same. If you want to go forward, you push the throttle forward. Now that I think of it, it's the same with my truck! :)Mike BromleyPP SEL- Removing the RED messages?
Look in the Display section of your fsx.cfg. You will see the following entries:InfoBrakesEnable=FalseInfoParkingBrakesEnable=TrueInfoPauseEnable=TrueInfoSlewEnable=TrueInfoStallEnable=FalseInfoOverspeedEnable=FalseSet them to True or False to set your tastes.Mike- Command For Viewing FPS
