Hi there,I am new to pro controller. After installing the program, getting the latest IP number list via Servinfo, filling out Certificate ID (i hope that is the VATSIM ID), password .. click OK, I get a second window that asks me to login...See screenshot here: http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/12866.jpgWell, i type : .msg USA-SE VATSIM-ID PASSWORD..also tried other servers..and nothing happens. Yes a sector file was loaded b4 :-)I tried for hours and I am close to give up the whole thing... :-(PLS helpThanksa helpless Pro Controller USerRalf

Ralf,Are you typing the .msg line in the chat window or the comm input line at the bottom of the PC screen? If I'm not mistaken (someone will correct me if I am :) ) you need to type it as comm input, not chat input.Mike BromleySenior ControllerBoston ARTCC

Type the word server, not usa-se in the message.It is literally ".msg SERVER" and your id and password.And, as Mike said, be sure you're doing it in the black line at the bottom.Alternatively, don't waste your time with ProController. Get ASRC and use that. It correctly authenticates Observers and doesn't invoke this workaround in the server.cz

Mike, Richard,Thanks.... it worked. Hmm ASRC.. I downloaded it and the manual says it will not support older sector files. Well, anyway. I loaded LAX_CTR.SCT (the pro controller sct) and it showed up ok.Are there other websites with Sector files?TTYLRalf

Even Pro Controller was very lenient in syntax. ASRC is not.Won't matter at some point anyway, as the .sct file format is to be changed to a RIF filespec for sectors, which, after hurting my brain reading the document, seems very well thought out.
