I installed FS9 yesterday which, of course, inflicts DX9.0a on the target system, but I retained FS2002. I connect to VATSIM across a network using WideFS. Now if I try to connect to VATSIM using FS2002 as usual on the FS PC and SB on the other machine, I cannot connect. I suspect that this might be because there is DX 8.1 on the SB machine and there is some sort of conflict between the two DX versions. Does that make sense?

probably not the problem. I have direct x9.0a and connect without any difficulty... but, might the problem be that vatsim is recognizing FS9...which is not yet compatabile with SB?sherm
