October 30, 200322 yr Hello,if I understand the logic behind the CSL mechanism correctly the CSL aircraft are just simple standard aircraft on a very low quality level. Now my thought was as followed: If we would edit the aircaft.csl/aircraft.cfg file (which contains the references to all these CSL-Aircraft) to point to some AI-Aircraft Models instead (FS Painter, AI-Aarkvard etc.) this should result in some better-quality aircraft to be desplayed instead of the CSL models. Are my thoughts correct or are there some obstacles which I missed?Yours,Martin Georg/EDDFVACC-SAG PR & Events Coordinator *** mailto:[email protected]http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicator/status.php?id=811874&indicator=SAG01&a=a.jpg Cheers, Martin Georg/EDDF Contributing editor, FS-Magazin
October 31, 200322 yr That is correct. I have not tried it but it did work some time ago when I uploaded an update to CSL with custom aircraft.Only thing you need to look at is the propable case that AI models need to be converted to flyable aircraft with what's missing from there and keeping them not visible in the aircraft menu.Don't forget that CSL aircraft do not have only the default CSL textured models. They have many custom major airline & VA (simplified) paint schemes as well. In that case you may find that there are better than MS's generic ones which do not exist in r.l.Make sure you checkout an update that's available here from last year.http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/seang1/csl/Kyprianos Biris :-cool[link:avsim.com/greece/hvacc]Hellenic vACChttp://vateud.org/images/vatsim-eurs.gifhttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg Hellenic vACC - Olympic Aegean Virtual Prepar3D 5.3 | CPU i9 10900K | VGA: RTX 3070 | RAM: 32GB DDR4 | Monitor: 3440x1440
